Kicking Down Under

   

The sun shone in the Sunshine State today when the World Footbike Championships got under way at the Gold Coast. At the Sports Super Centre, kickers from around the world were the first to use the athletic track for a competition since it was completely renovated and re-surfaced recently.

Many were intrigued at the sight of us: there were a number of spectators who had actually turned up at the centre to participate in another sport but ended up watching us!

  

The day could not have proceeded without the generous help of volunteers who did a great job. Two of our sponsors were on hand to ease the aches and pains of some. Su from Wellness On The Move offered free massages. Jeanne and Brian from Magnesium Health Australia gave squirts of MAG3 magnesium spray.

Some little kids didn’t want to see the adults have all the fun, so they had a go too!
